Thank You For A Successful Fall Heart Walk Season!

The leaves are falling, the air is getting crisp, the days are getting shorter … and the AHA is putting feet on the ground!  This fall, the SouthWest Affiliate will host a total of 26 Heart Walks across our six states.  And thanks to your generous support, we’re off to a great start.

Through October, our affiliate’s Heart Walk Campaign has raised $6.4 million for the fight against heart disease and stroke, a 10 percent increase over this time last year.  In September, our Dallas and Fort Worth Walks combined for over $4.9 million.  And in October, Austin came in strong with over $550,000.  In addition to our October totals, our early November results are also encouraging – including the Houston Walk, which passed the $2 million mark for the first time.
