Last night Star Jones helped raise over $170,ooo for her chosen charity, the American Heart Association on the season premiere of The Celebrity Apprentice (Sundays at 9 p.m. EST/8 p.m. CST.).
On March 17, 2010 Star Jones, lawyer, best-selling author and former daytime TV host, underwent open heart surgery to repair her aortic valve. Thanks to Dr. Valentin Fuster, past AHA president and cardiologist from Mt. Sinai Medical Center and his colleague Dr. Paul Stelzer, Star – nearly one year later – is back to her regularly scheduled activities and is now participating in The Celebrity Apprentice on behalf of the AHA.
